Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to lead Orien Trade’s financial operations across our multi-subsidiary group spanning Europe and South Korea. This is a high-impact role responsible for financial strategy, capital raising, risk management, team leadership, and supporting M&A activity.
The Head of Finance will build scalable financial operations from the ground up, manage group-level reporting and compliance, and play a critical role in the company’s growth and expansion. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is passionate about building robust financial systems in a scaling business.
This role is preferably based in Tartu, Estonia, where our central finance function is located.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a financial strategy aligned with business growth objectives.

Build scalable financial processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements across subsidiaries, including financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation of financials.

Implement robust risk management, financial controls, and cash flow optimization.

Lead capital raising efforts from financial markets and develop financing strategies

Build and manage investor relations, due diligence, and financial transparency.

Build and lead a high-performing internal finance and accounting team.

Develop and enforce financial policies, internal controls, and governance standards.

Oversee external accounting service providers where applicable.

Lead mergers and acquisitions, from deal sourcing and negotiations to due diligence and post-merger integration.

Align M&A initiatives with business expansion and long-term financial strategy.
Qualifications & Experience

5+ years in finance leadership, with expertise in fundraising and financial strategy.

Proven success in capital raising (strategic investors, PE/VC, or debt financing).

Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.

M&A experience including deal execution and integration is a plus.

Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations, and risk management.

Experience scaling finance teams and managing external accounting providers.

Big Four or high-growth company background preferred.

Strong negotiation, financial modeling, and strategic planning skills.
